About my current exhibiton on view @Gallery Steiner , 1010 Vienna

My work is deeply rooted in the beauty of nature and the joy of life despite its tragic and abstract nature or perhaps because of it.

The works in these series flow between the memory of a place and the emotional residue it leaves behind. I paint atmospheres rather than objects, moments rather than narratives.

Much of my recent series was born from a deeply personal summer, a time of inner quiet (after a period of inner turmoil) and a time of emotional clarity and most importantly, falling in love. These paintings are not landscapes in the traditional sense—they are emotional geographies from the months of traveling around the world with my now wife and the mother of our daughter.Though some of my works are abstract, the works hint at forms: a coastline, a hill, a sunset. I embrace ambiguity deliberately—it allows the viewer to find their own emotional anchor within the piece. My work is also deeply rooted in the study of Newtons Color Theory although my formal education is a specialization of mathematics. The Newton Color wheel and the theory of color forms the basis to all of my works. Painting, for me, is a space to slow down, to reflect, to breathe and most importantly to create. In a world that rushes, I want my art to be a place where time lingers.
